Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I need to be able to swim? You don’t need to be an olympic swimmer but we would ask that all our participants can swim 50 meters unaided. You’ll be wearing a buoyancy aid throughout the session which will help keep you afloat. Our guides are trained in water safety and will be with you at all times. If you are very nervous or a weak swimmer, get in touch, we’d love to tailor a private session to suit your needs!
Q: How cold will I be? A classic question! Much warmer than you would expect. We provide high quality thick wetsuits that will keep you warm even in Scottish waters. Most people are genuinely surprised by how warm and comfortable they are; just check our reviews!
Q: How old do I need to be? We welcome adventurers aged 10 and up! Any adventurer under 18 needs to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Q: What do I wear under the wetsuit? We recommend a swim suit or swimming trunks… and nothing else! Rash vests are fine if you have one, but any extra layers, particularly cotton T-shirts or jumpers will make you colder and less comfortable. Wetsuits work best next to the skin, and cotton is rotten, as they say!
Q: Where do we meet? When you book we can either organise to collect you from your accommodation in the Fort William area, meet you in a central location, or if you have other travel plans that day we can meet you there! Full joining instructions are included with every booking of course.
Q: How long is a session? Our sessions are two and a half hours long, including time for getting changed, briefings, and the best time of all: Coasteering time!
Q: What if the weather sucks? We run in all weathers! Often the wilder the weather the wilder the fun! We only cancel in the rare event of dangerous conditions, and we check the forecast religiously, so if it looks like the weather is going to be suspect, or if we need to make changes to our location we will always give you plenty of notice!
Q: How do I book? Hit one of the book now buttons scattered about this page to check availability and reserve your spot! Sessions are just £75pp but spaces are limited so do book early!

We had a wonderful time with Andy and Zeemon jumping, swimming, and scrambling along the Scottish coastline! They were supportive, encouraging, and had great energy. We felt safe and cared for. We highly recommend a trip with them! What a cool way to get to know the Scottish landscape.

I’ll be honest, I was nervous about going due to thinking it would be freezing and that my wee boy would get cold quickly and be miserable, but none of us got chilly at all.
There was never any pressure to do anything we weren’t comfortable with and always easier options to choose.
Andy & zeemon were great fun, obviously very experienced instructors and knowledgeable when working with children, showing and explaining different plants/sea creatures. It was an absolutely stunning location overlooking Rhum & Eigg. Great fun, we’ll be back!

Was totally new to coasteering in Fort William and usually don’t deal well with the water and the cold but the gents kept it super fun and entertaining! Lots of good chat, big smiles and fun jumps and splashes, would recommend to everyone who enjoys the water and the coast!

Myself and a friend went coasteering when the weather was a bit windy, so I was feeling a little nervous, however, the two wonderful instructions where so hyped to just go have a good time. This helped me feel like there was no pressure and that everyone was there to have a nice time. The instructors have a good knowledge about local wildlife and plants which was very interesting. Even showing us which sea weed was edible. They provided a great experience for me and my friend and I would happily do it in all weathers.

Amazing Coasteering adventure!!! Had so much fun Cliff jumping (at various heights suitable for everyone), Climbing and Swimming our way round the Beautiful West Coast. We were provided with the best quality equipment which kept us safe and warm and the instructors were super good fun too! Highly reccomend coasteering with these guys 👌

I was really impressed with Coasteering.fun from the start to finish of my trip. The instructors were everything I wanted throughout the experience, from providing fun, silly moments of laughter, to encouraging and supportive enthusiasm. It was clear they had safety at the core of everything, and I was really impressed!
The equipment they provided was high quality, they have clearly put the customer first when setting up this experience.
I’d highly recommend giving it a go!

Great craic on a beautiful part of the Scottish coastline. Fun was definitely the emphasis of the day, but safety is also paramount and the guys catered for that excellently. They did so by providing great kit, a good safety brief at the beginning of the day, a good fun warm up and acclimatisation to the water (tropical as it looked, it was very much still Scottish coastal waters) and then continued professionalism throughout the activity made me really enjoy my first coasteering experience and dying to go back for more. We even got some tea mid-way through to warm our hands up nicely. Braw!

Highly recommended. On arrival at location we were provided with all necessary equipment, given safety briefing and then we begun. Morale was high, both Andy & Zeemon were friendly and approachable. I was the most nervous member of the group, and was slow and a bit scared, but they were very patient, offering helpful tips and they were encouraging and still made me feel welcome and involved even though I wasn’t doing any the big jumps the rest of the group were.
I still really enjoyed myself, and would do it again and think everyone should give it a try!
